MOGSiL specialist pipeline inspection solutions:
GIP MFL
GIP is the solution to non-”piggable” line integrity assessment and is an external high resolution MFL hand mounted tool on the outside of the pipeline. It is leading proprietary technology.
The GIP hand held tool can be used on all diameter pipelines including plant infrastructure such as vessels or tanks. It allows real time detection, location and sizing of internal pipeline corrosion features. The GIP tool delivers high resolution metal loss identification with high percentage of pipeline surveyed.

- High production rate,giving real time assessment of corrosion anomalies
- No requirement for launchers or receivers
- No requirement to depressurise or drain flow and production pipelines- so no downtime

The high resolution data set resolution allows detection of metal loss in excess of 20%
The field interpretation in real time of data provides the field personnel with the general assessment of the pipeline condition, the defect size and the locality of major defects. This allows resources to be called in for immediate repairs saving production downtime.
A detailed interpretation if required will show size and categorise corrosion population. Estimate the pipelines MAOP ( Maximum Allowed Operating Pressure). The assessment of pipeline metal loss due to corrosion. It will identify screw plugs and sleeve repairs. The GIP MFL will show the longitudinal and transversal location of anomalies.
The data set up with GipMag Software (enables data viewing, plus association with generic documents (photos, text, diagrams)) and establishes assessment baseline information. Detailed data processing (if required and requested) can deliver MAOP applicable to ASME B31G
Porcupine
The “porcupine” internal pipeline inspection tool has high resolution 1/4000th of an inch internal pipeline diameter measurement. The definitions of the assessment are to B31G standards. It has a high collapse factor of 25% allowing it to run through 90 degree bends.
The porcupine delivers axial and longitudinal resolution and differentiates corrosion, welds and scale. It can be utilised within heat exchanger tube inspection.
